That’s why we started the Glow Worm Exchange: a retail program aimed at providing our customers with gently used and new kids clothing to shop, sell & trade for store credit here in our cafe.
How it works
Step 1: Bring in your clothing
We buy all seasons! We accept good-used or new condition kids clothing size newborn to youth medium (10/12) and maternity clothing. Our focus is on organic or mid-to-high end clothing brands. Make an appointment or drop off for review during designated hours. Click here to view our list of preferred brands and process for item review.
Step 2: Item review
For drop-in appointments on weekdays, we will review your items while you sip, shop or play!
For drop-off appointments on weekends, we will review your items within a few days and contact you when we are done.
Step 3: Buy, sell or trade
We’ll offer cash or a store credit for accepted items. The store credit can be used at Glow Worm for play sessions, classes, special events, the retail shop, and in the cafe & bakery.

This list is a guideline for the brands that we accept and carry. We will accept other brands & some bamboo and TENCEL clothing. We focus on mid-to-high end kids & maternity clothing brands and prioritize brands with GOTS certification. The following list is simply a guideline so you have a better understanding for what we buy and sell.

Option 1: Drop-In & Stay Appointment
Our item review appointments are available weekly on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Book an appointment online, then come by at your appointment time, wait for your items to be reviewed.
You can make an appointment here. Please allow 30-60 minutes for your item review depending on how many items you bring in.
Option 2: Drop-off
We offer weekend drop off by appointment only. Drop-off items will be reviewed within a few days and you’ll be contacted when we have finished reviewing your items. You can make an appointment here for weekend drop-off.
You will be responsible for picking up any remaining items 24 hours from when we finish your item review.
Items that are left for 24 hours or more after the review period (which the customer will be made aware of) will be donated.
If we accept items that are not picked up, we will email you a store credit and those items will not be eligible for a cash payment, and the remaining items will be donated on your behalf.
We partner with several local charities when donating clothing on your behalf, including Kentucky Refugee Ministries, La Casita, Hope’s Closet, and Dress for Success.
