The Glow Worm Difference
Glow Worm Cafe & Play is Louisville’s Reggio Emilia and Montessori inspired play space for children 6 and under, alongside a gourmet coffee shop and bakery. Our Play Lounge is uniquely designed for the comfort & enjoyment of both kids and caregivers.
But we are more than just a play space.
Since 2021, we have been a community hub for families and neighbors, offering classes, parties, special events & a cafe for anyone to enjoy.
If you’re coming to play, we highly recommend booking online to guarantee a spot to play, especially during inclement weather!

Cafe & Bakery
When you enter our space, you’ll find a cafe & bakery open to anyone who loves good coffee & food and a cozy, welcoming environment.
We have a robust menu of beverages, from drip coffee to lattes, to delicious teas and smoothies. Our bakery offers pastries, pasta salad, paninis and more made fresh daily by our in house baker, Dara Staggers of Staggeringly Delicious. We also proudly partner with Sunergos Coffee.

Play Sessions
Glow Worm is the only play space in town that isn’t just for kids — it’s for adults too. Our Play Lounge is designed as a “Choose Your Own Adventure” experience: sit and relax or work, play with your kiddos, make a new friend and connect with others, or all of the above!
We offer play in timed sessions, 7 days a week from 8am to 5:30pm. At Glow Worm, we always focus on safe play that is based on Reggio Emilia & Montessori principles for kids age 6 and under.

Classes & Parents Day Out
We offer weekly and monthly classes for adults and kids, Parents Day Out twice weekly, and summer camps for big kids. View our classes here and summer camps here.
Our classes are led by experienced instructors who are passionate about their craft and our community. When you attend a class at Glow Worm, you’re supporting our local economy.
